The American Covenant Two-Volume set consists of both Volume 1 and Volume II. Volume I tells the covenant story from the time of Abraham to America's discovery through the Revolutionary War. Volume 2 picks up at the end of the Revolution and takes us through the creation of the Constitution, the tragedy of the Civil War, and on through to the present day.

Since another book by Tim Ballard—The Covenant: One Nation Under God—was featured on The Glenn Beck and other programs, many people have asked how that book differs from this series (The American Covenant, Volumes 1 and 2).

This series is the author's original work containing the entire collection of his ten years of research on the topic of American "goodness" (what makes America unique from every other nation).  This text was written from a decidedly Latter-day Saint viewpoint, this series appeals directly to people of that faith.
